Barker Infrastructure LLC helps datacenter developers and investors answer siting questions in ERCOT: where power arrives soonest, what it costs at that node, and how the grid around a site will change.
The company
The firm's focus is speed to power: where a datacenter can energize soonest, and what power will cost there. Engagements center on the ERCOT market: nodal price analysis, time-to-power assessment, hedge and revenue-collar structuring, capacity expansion scenarios, and valuation models that have supported investment decisions on energy infrastructure projects. The tooling is built in-house, from data pipelines to valuation models.
Current development is focused on the machine-learning forecasting program: GPU-trained models over nodal price history, now in prototyping. This is where most of the firm's research time and compute are going.
The team
Aaron Barker
Aaron is a Director at Fractal Energy Storage Consultants, where he helps developers, utilities, and investors take battery storage projects from siting through sale, with GWh-scale diligence work each year, much of it in ERCOT.
Barker Infrastructure is his independent analytics practice: nodal analysis, valuation, and the machine-learning forecasting program. Aaron is based in Kalispell, Montana.
David Young
David builds the firm's software: the data pipelines, the modeling tooling, and the ingestion pipeline now in development. He is based in Cork, Ireland.
